I successfully completed a series of courses offered by the Gemological Institute of American receiving my Graduate Gemologist diploma in 1986. GIA produces diamond certificates and is best known for offering bench jewelers and jewelry store owner’s an education in basic gemology. 

My fascination with gemology however has always been much greater than the fundamentals; I am truly blessed to have spent several years studying under Accredited Gemologists Association's (AGA) founding father Antonio C. Bonanno.
