Council on Aging helps many senior citizens with meals, medical, and transportation needs. The Council on Aging has lost seven vans to Katrina. These vans are necessary for transporting the elderly for medical treatment and food deliveries. “Many times we overlook the needs of the elderly”, says Anne Dale.
