Bean-ing Together

The spirit of South Louisiana revolves around music and food, so when we loose our jazz, the storms of live bring on those blues, its time to nourishes our collective spirits back to their rightful place.

The Power of Red Beans

How is it that a single red bean can return the Joie de vivre?

Truth is that one red bean can not do it alone it is gonna need some help, a whole bunch in fact a hill of beans – a Community Beaning-together.

But that’s just the beginning, you see they ain’t nothing really fancy about red beans, they ain’t got much flavor, like people there’s no particular race, class, religion or political group that bean-together. Slowly stirred Louisiana Reds Beans are not from any one ethnic group or culture but a combination of flavors from many – the original soul food that unites people like no other.

A community baptized (soaked) in water before joining the hambone and leftovers from the blessed Sunday diner. Red beans cook slow and like a Community it is best not to stir them too often.

The fabric of a Community is derive by its people and what each bring – just like the bell pepper, onion, celery, thyme, cayenne pepper and bay leaf flavors absorbed by the red beans.

We come together as a people

The spirit of South Louisiana revolves around music and food. So when we loose our jazz, the heavy burdens (storms) of live bring on those blues, its time to nourishes our souls back to their rightful place.
